Our father who art in heaven,

God, our loving Father,
You created this beautiful world,

we have brought discord, violence
and war into our dear land
O merciful Father,
heal our wounded hearts and minds,
pour the balm of your love and peace
into our troubled land,
and bring once more
the fragrance of fresh hope,
trust and harmony
among us — your broken people
so that soon from every heart may echo
the praise and glory of your Name.     Amen.

Lord of wisdom and knowledge,
bless us with confidence and courage.
Help us to recall what we have studied.
Grant us good health of mind and body
so that we may do well in our examination.     Amen.

God almighty Father of us all,
bless us and our food,
which we are about to have
so that we may grow
in health of mind and body.
Bless all those people who in some way or other have helped in preparing this food.
God give us the grace to work for the good of others.     Amen.

Father in Heaven we thank
you and praise you
for the food you gave us.
Bless and feed all the people
who suffer and die of hunger
make us generous
that we may share our bread with the hungry.     Amen.
