Description:
A NSS camp was organized for the NSS volunteers in the school premises from 4th to 10th November under the able guidance of our Principal, Rev. Sr Arti, and the Program Officer, Ms Chaitaly Nandy. The camp culminated with a spectacular closing function today in which Mr Nemi Chand, the State Liason Officer, NSS unit was the chief guest. All the activities during the camp hovered around the theme “Swachh Bharat and Jal Shakti Abhiyan”. The volunteers were engaged in various social service activities like cleanliness drive, Bread donation drive and distribution of Diwali gifts among the underprivileged residents of Shastri Nagar. They not only learnt selfless service but also leadership and collaborative skills. The NSS unit, in collaboration with the Legal Literacy Club, orchestrated an engaging seminar featuring the esteemed Gaurav Bharadwaj.
During the interactive session, volunteers delved into discussions on various issues like acid attacks. The seminar sensitized them about the Juvenile Justice panel and NALSA (National Legal Services Authority). The martial arts instructor skillfully guided the volunteers and imparted knowledge about escaping the grip of potential kidnappers. They were also given a comprehensive briefing on maintaining inner peace and mental health.
