Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, celebrated Day 2 of UDN 2025, a remarkable morning dedicated to excellence, inspiration, and the ever-rising Heartian spirit. The event was graced by Ms. Garima Sharma, Deputy Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, and Capt. Ishita Bhatia, accomplished Airbus A320 Commander, as the Guest of Honour. The presence of Most Rev. Bishop Ignatius Mascarenhas added grace and blessings to the occasion.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by Wings of Faith, a soulful prayer dance that set a serene and uplifting tone for the celebration. A deeply moving highlight of the event was Udaan: Wings of Valour, a theatrical tribute to Neerja Bhanot, presented with profound emotion, artistry, and dedication by the students.
The school proudly felicitated the Class 12 toppers from all four streams, honouring their hard work, determination, and academic brilliance.
Jiana Kumar of Class 8 Hornbill was honoured for bringing pride to the school and the nation by winning the Bronze Medal at the World Archery Youth Championship 2025. Her dedication and remarkable performance on the international stage were warmly celebrated.
Dhanya Sharma of Class 9B was felicitated for representing Chandigarh at the National Science Seminar 2025 in Bangalore, where she was declared the U.T. Level Winner. Her achievement reflects exceptional curiosity, confidence, and scientific aptitude.
Our U10 Basketball Team was recognised for securing the Second Runner-Up position at the Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy. The young athletes were awarded trophies, certificates, and a cash prize of ?20,000 for their spirited performance
The morning concluded with a high-energy Bhangra performance, filling the auditorium with vibrant beats, colourful spirit, and joyful celebrations.
