In a remarkable display of compassion and social responsibility, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Vishvas Foundation, The Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh, and the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER Chandigarh, organized a Blood Donation Camp on 11th October 2025.

The event commenced with a soulful prayer by the school choir, invoking blessings for the noble cause, followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony graced by our Manager, Sr. Anupa, our Principal, Rev. Sr. Venita, our Vice Principal, Sr. Usha, Dr. Sangeeta (Associate Professor, Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER), Mr. Satyabhushan Khurana from Vishvas Foundation, and parents Mr. Mohammed Waseem and Mr. Subhash. The program featured a melodious song by the school choir and an enlightening speech highlighting the importance of blood donation in saving lives.

As a gesture of gratitude, planters were presented to Mr. Satyabhushan Khurana and Dr. Sangeeta for their valuable support and contribution. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with 94 donors stepping forward to donate blood, embodying the spirit of generosity and community service.

The event served as a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a profound difference in the lives of others, reflecting the school’s ethos of compassion, empathy, and service to humanity.
