Good Morning Everyone,
Today I stand before you to talk about a crucial legislation that safeguards the innocence and dignity of our children- The POCSO Act.
The protection of Children from Sexual offences act, commonly known as POCSO act, was acted by the govt of India in 2012. It protects children from any kind of sexual abuse or harassment.
It helps children by punishing anyone who harms a child in an unsafe manners. It makes sure the child’s identity is kept private. And ensures children are treated with care and respect.
If you ever feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or someone behaves in a way that feels wrong to you can tell a trusted adult- your parents, teachers or school counsellors.
Let;s promise to look out for each other, respect each other, respect each other’s space, and speak up when something is not right. The POCSO box is placed near S.ST lab for you to drop your concerns.
