Description:
Integrated learning is indeed the need of the hour as co-relating one subject with the other not only makes the teaching process more effective but also enhances the learning skills of the students.
To enhance these learning skills as well as the power of observation among the students, a Nature Walk was organised for the students of the Primary Wing. The students from classes II to VIIIE were taken to The Butterfly Park in Sector-26 on 15th February 2020. The enthusiasm if visiting a Nature Reserve was clearly visible on their faces. The wild flora and fauna in their natural habitat left the visitors spell bound. Their unending queries were patiently taken care of. The students came across larvae, cocoons and many colourful adult butterflies and thus had a clear understanding of the life cycle of a butterfly. Many aquatic plants, bamboos, fruit trees, climbing plants, a variety of birds were an added attraction of the trip. Being in harmony with nature refreshed the young minds and left the asking for more such trips.
