Sacred Heart is committed to altruistic acts for welfare and well being of others. Our students collected new woollens and books for our fellow citizens of Kashmir. It was a joint initiative of Yuvsatta (youth for peace)-NGO, Peace Clubs of over 20 prominent local Schools, KBDAV Sr. Sec. Public School, Indian Army & CREST (Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society). An Army truck carrying gifts of 3516 new woollens and books for children in Kashmir was flagged-off by Mayor Mr. Anup Gupta, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh on 12 December. Such initiatives of bringing armed forces and students closer will certainly
strengthen the fibre of strong and united India, especially respect for the motherland.
