Description:
Sacred Heart NSS volunteers are a band of dedicated and enthusiastic young students who opt to serve the nation through community service. National Service Scheme is a student centered programme and is complementary to education, a noble experiment in academic extension that inculcates the spirit of voluntary work among students.
The 7 day camp began with an opening ceremony where Mr. Nemi Chand, State Liaison Officer (NSS) was the esteemed Chief Guest, who deliberated on the importance of NSS in nation building. The ceremony ended with a colourful Bhangra performance. Post the opening ceremony volunteers endorsed the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and cleaned the school promises; lessening the burden of the school staff as well as making their teachers proud. The camp will see the volunteers engage in self defence tactics, social awareness through various activities, workshops and expert talks. The volunteers hope to have a wonderful time and equip themselves with a lot of skills in the coming days.
