Description: The final day of our Sanskrit and Malayalam Summer Camp was a vibrant celebration of language, learning, and cultural pride. Students arrived in traditional attire, adding a colourful and festive spirit to the classrooms.
In Sanskrit, the day began with a quick recap of the topics covered throughout the camp—names of fruits and vegetables, colours, time, and commonly used words. The concept of “Parts of the Body” was introduced through an engaging activity in which children drew and labelled different body parts while learning their Sanskrit names. Another fun exercise involved drawing clocks and practising how to tell time in Sanskrit, reinforcing their grasp on numbers and time-related vocabulary. The highlight of the day was a conversation session, where students confidently used the Sanskrit words and phrases they had learned. It was heartwarming to see their enthusiasm, improved language skills, and joyful participation. The day concluded with laughter, smiles, and pride in the strong foundation they had built in Sanskrit over the five days.
In the Malayalam session, students also came dressed in traditional Kerala attire, embracing the culture of the region. They were given a comprehensive revision test covering all the concepts learned during the camp. A special focus was placed on revisiting English alphabets and their corresponding Malayalam sounds, helping students strengthen their phonetic understanding. Additionally, the culture and traditions of Kerala were elaborated upon, giving the children a deeper appreciation for the state’s rich heritage.
The final day was a perfect blend of learning and celebration, leaving our young learners enriched, confident, and culturally connected
