Description:
Butterflies in their vibrant and bright hues not only spread happiness and joy but are also a vital part of our delicate ecosystem. The Eco Club of our school paid tribute to these winged friends by setting up a “Camelot of butterfly” in the school premises. The esteemed guests, Mr Kulbushan Kanwar and Mr Pramod Sharma inaugurated the “Camelot of butterfly” today morning. Mr Kulbushan Kanwar has been instrumental in the setting up of Butterfly Park, Chandigarh, and is also an administrator of Forest Department Fact book page “Butterflies of Chandigarh" and “Migratory birds of Sukhna Lake". Mr Pramod Sharma is Founder, Yuvsatta (youth for peace-an NGO). The inauguration was marked by prayer, poetry recitation and interesting information on life cycle and types of butterflies put together by our dear students under the able guidance of their mentors. Sr Arti, Sr Lucy, Sr Kusum, Sr Elsy, Sr Merlin graced the occasion by their benign presence. The eminent guests were appreciative of the steps taken by the school to sensitize and apprise our students about butterflies.
