Description:
“A single pint can save three lives, a single gesture can create a million smiles”. Donating blood is
not just a noble deed, but also good for health. It is in this very spirit the parents and faculty of
Sacred Heart volunteered to donate blood for this humane cause.
Sacred Heart School in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion Department from P.G.I Chd
sponsored by Vishwas Foundation organised a Blood Donation Camp in the school premises on
14 th December, 2024.
The camp was inaugurated with singing of hymns by the school choir followed by the customary
lighting of the lamp by the school Principal Reverend Sr Venita Joseph, Sr Alvina, Sr Anupa,
Coordinator Sr wing Ms Sapna Maini, Coordinator Jr wing Ms Kritika Sood, Sadhvi Neelima
Vishwa from Vishwas Foundation , Dr. Sangeeta and Dr Anita from PGI Blood Transfusion Deptt
and representatives of parents’ body.
This initiative was conducted under the supervision of medical officer from P.G.I, Dr Sangeeta and
Sadhvi Neelima Vishwa from Vishwas foundation. Rev. Sr Venita honoured them with tokens of
gratitude and congratulated all the volunteers for this noble act and was also appreciative of the
efforts put in by everyone to make the camp a success. She also expressed her gratitude to the
school NSS volunteers for their contribution.
Realising the importance of the noble cause, Parents and their acquaintances came forward to
support the school in this mission and donated more than 103 units of blood.
Sacred Heart has always been at the forefront for contributing to the social causes, and the ethos
of the school not only instils the feeling of togetherness but also motivates others to participate in
selfless acts. The school is forever committed to such philanthropic activities which rekindle faith in humanity.
