Description:
A Legal Awareness Programme was organized for the students of class XI especially on child abuse and protection of children from Sexual Offence Act 2012. Distinguished speakers and legal experts were invited to deliver the talk. Students were introduced to various legal terms like CRE and PLE which associates with public and school related law. There was an elaborate discussion on some legal myths and facts related to POCSO Act. Students were encouraged to fearlessly report matters related to sexual abuse, molestation and bullying as law offered them a voice to protest. Students were also sensitized about various legal proceedings in the POCSO Act. The seminar empowered the students with legal knowledge to help them feel strong and protected in school and outside. We hope such seminars and law awareness talks will prove to be a great aid to the legal cell of our school enabling students become conscious of a legal culture for a safe, peaceful and secure environment.
