Description:
The Eco Club of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, organized a heartfelt event on 18th June 2025 to unveil the statue of Mother Seraphina, the Foundress of the CFMSS Order. This date holds deep spiritual significance, marking the ascension of Mother Seraphina into the gates of Heaven.
The statue was solemnly unveiled by Rev. Sr Anupa, Rev. Sr Venita Joseph, and Rev. Sr Alvina. Adding a creative and sustainable touch, student-crafted figures made from old terracotta pots adorned the space, reflecting the values of recycling and environmental responsibility.
The statue stands majestically amidst a serene setup of saplings, lush plants, mushrooms, and a water bath, symbolizing Mother Seraphina’s profound love for nature. The event emphasized the principles of the 5 R’s – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and Recycle.
The selection of plants around the platform was thoughtfully curated based on their aesthetic appeal, utility, and oxygen-emitting qualities, creating an atmosphere of peace and vitality. The supporting staff also participated actively in the unveiling ceremony, reflecting the shared spirit of devotion and community.
