Description:
The first day of the Regional Language Learning Week at Sacred Heart Sr. Sec. School began with vibrant sessions on Malayalam and Sanskrit, celebrating India’s linguistic diversity.
The Malayalam session introduced students to the language’s origin, script, and unique features—like its palindrome nature and flowing letters. Through interactive activities, greetings like “Namaskaram” and “Sukhamano?” were practiced, along with a short cultural film clip that added local flavour.
In the Sanskrit session, students explored the beauty and logic of the classical language. They learned simple shlokas and basic conversational phrases, appreciating Sanskrit's historical and cultural significance.
The day set a strong foundation for language learning, sparking curiosity and cultural pride among students.
