Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School celebrated Day 1 of Udaan 2025 with grace, colour, and the true Heartian spirit. The event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest His Excellency Most Rev. Bishop Dr. Sahaya Thatheus Thomas, Guest of Honour Dr. B.C. Gupta, and Special Guest Mr. Samarth Sharma, CEO of the National Edutrust of India.

The ceremony began with the Lighting of the Divine Lamp, followed by a soulful prayer dance, Wings of Devotion. The Principal, Rev. Sr. Venita Joseph, delivered an inspiring address and was felicitated with The Best Principal Award for Excellence in Sustainability & Environmental Stewardship 2025.

A powerful theatrical production, “Udaan: Wings of Valour”, paid tribute to Neerja Bhanot. The school also celebrated its academic excellence by honouring the award-winning teachers and the Class 10 toppers, acknowledging their dedication and outstanding achievements. A moment of pride followed with the launch of “Petals: 18 on 18”, the debut book by young author Yashashwani Singh.

Adding to the joy of the day, Heartians excelled in recent competitions:

U14 Basketball Team – Champions, with Callista Sharma named Best Player; U17 and U10 teams secured Second Runner-Up.

School Band – First Position at the State Level Band Competition and qualified for the Zonal level.

The event concluded with a vibrant Punjabi Folk Dance, filling the auditorium with energy and cheer.

Day 1 of Udaan 2025 was a beautiful celebration of talent, achievement, and Heartian pride.
