World Rivers Day, a global celebration to promote the awareness and conservation of rivers, is observed annually on the fourth Sunday of September. This day aims to raise awareness about the importance of rivers and motivate people to conserve and care for them. To make the young children aware of the importance of rivers as a source of life, various activities were planned for them. They played a quiz and used their problem solving skills as they attempted a word search looking for some of the important rivers in India. Along with their teachers they took a pledge to be saviours of this very important source of fresh and drinkable water.
