Description:
The Turncoat Debate Competition for Classes 11 and 12 brought forth a dynamic display of critical thinking, persuasive speaking, and quick reflexes. A total of 16 participants—two from each house per class—engaged in this intellectually challenging contest.
The debate revolved around thought-provoking and socially relevant topics, encouraging students to explore multiple perspectives on complex issues. The unique format required participants to switch sides mid-speech, arguing both for and against the motion—truly a test of spontaneity, reasoning, and articulation.
The participants impressed the audience and judges alike with their clarity of thought and confident delivery. After a closely contested round, the winners were announced:
1st Position: Samaira Dua (11C2) – St. Mary’s House
2nd Position: Keshika Verma (12A) – St. Clare’s House
3rd Position (Joint): Devishi Manhas (12C2) – St. Joseph’s House
