Description:
The Feast Day of St. Clare of Assisi was celebrated with great reverence and joy on 8th August at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh. The celebration commenced with a soulful hymn sung by the school choir, setting a prayerful tone for the event.
This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Reverend Sisters and the school coordinators, symbolising the light of Christ that St. Clare carried in her life. A graceful and spiritually uplifting prayer dance by the primary wing added to the devotional atmosphere.
Seerat of Class 6 delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the life, values, and unwavering faith of St. Clare. The key highlight of the event was a beautiful enactment by the students of Class 6, which depicted significant moments from the life of St. Clare while also reflecting her relevance in today’s world.
The school choir performed a moving musical rendition titled “Clare, You Are God’s Chosen One,” which captured the essence of her devotion and purity. The celebration concluded with Rev. Sr. Venita sharing pearls of wisdom from the life of St. Clare, encouraging students to adopt her virtues of simplicity, compassion, and unwavering faith in their daily lives.
The celebration was a beautiful tribute to the beloved saint, leaving everyone inspired and spiritually enriched.
