Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, celebrated its golden jubilee with grand annual function at Indradhanush auditorium, in Sector-5, Panchkula. Former principals and managers of the school were felicitated. A school that started with a mere 86 students today stands tall and proud with approximately 3,000 students on rolls. Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School is an unaided christain minority educational institution. It was established in the year 1968. On October 10, 1967, foundation stone was laid by Father Francis Xavier and in 1968, Sister Veronica, the first principal along with Sister Daniela, Sister Gabriela, Sister Margaret, Sister Celina, Sister Carmela and Sister Flavia, welcomed the first batch of 86 students.
