‘The Legend of St. Clare’ staged

Commemorating the ascent and birth of St. Clare of Assisi in Heaven, the students of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector 26 , Chandigarh, staged a play titled ”The Legend of St. Clare”. The choir gave the function a blessed beginning by mesmerising the audience with their mellifluous hymn “Behold the Woman of the Light”. Then, class 7th students presented the play” The Legend of St. Clare”. The play acquainted the audience with the life, works and ideology of St. Clare of Assisi, the abbess and founder of the Order of Poor Clares. The actors impressed all present with their impeccable acting chops. Reverend Sister Rita, Ex Principal of the school, reiterated the words St. Clare “Our labour here is brief, but the reward is eternal”. She encouraged the girls to imbibe the qualities of compassion, humility and to perpetuate the purity of heart in all circumstances and be the instruments of social change. She lauded the efforts of the students and teachers for making the function phenomenal.
