Institute week celebrations at Sacred Heart Sen Sec School with event titled 'Break the Case

Description: To mark the conclusion of its institute week celebrations, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School hosted an event titled "Break the Case', which drew enthusiastic participation from students and was marked by a spirit of healthy competition and colaboration.
A total of 14 teams participated in the event, which was structured in three challenging rounds. The first round tested the general knowledge of the participants through a fast-paced quiz. The second round, named 'Break the Case', challenged teams with a fictional case they were required to investigate using logic and observation. The final round was a presentation segment, where students show-cased their findings and defended their conclusions-honing not only their analytical thinking but also their argumentative and public speaking skills.
Participants worked collaboratively to unravel complex scenarios and identify both the accused and the guilty, sharpening their investigative instincts and decision-making abilities.
The event was judged by a distinguished panel including Meenakshi Rana from the department of psychology, Punjab University, Preeti Choudhary, a soft skills trainer from Chikara Institute, and advocate Priyanshu Grover of Aspirant Learning
Rev Sr Venita Joseph, principal of Students celebrating Institute Week at Sacred Heart Sen Sec School extended a warm welcome to the participants and applauded their zeal and commitment. "Break the Case has not only brought out the best in our students but has also fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and eloquence," she remarked. The winner of the event was Shivalik Public School, Sector 41. At the second position was Carmel Convent School and in the third place there was a tie between Gurukul Global, Sector 13 Chandigarh and Bhavan Vidhayala sector 27. A grand event 'Global Glitz' was also organised as a special tribute dedicated to mothers, held in honour of Mother's Day. The event began on a touching note with a short video montage of students expressing their love and gratitude for their mothers-a visual treat that brought smiles and tears to many eyes.
The formal programme commenced with a prayer, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Rev Sr Anupa (school manager), Rev Sr Venita Joseph (principal), Rev Sr Alvina (headmistress primary school) and mother representatives, signifying the enlightenment and warmth that mothers bring into the lives of their children.
A panel of judges comprising the reverend sisters attended the occasion. Students of various classes presented a series of cultural performances, showcasing their talents through lively dances and melodious songs. Each performance celebrated the nurturing spirit and strength of mother-hood.
The highlight of Global Glitz was a ramp walk featuring the mothers themselves, who adorned the stage in both traditional and contemporary attires. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognising the outstanding participants. The winners of category A were Bharti, Richa Singla and Deepika Nagratm in the first, second and third place respectively. In category B the winners were Shreya Sharma, Parikshi Sharma and Ritu Garg in the first. second and third place respectively. In category C the winners of the first three positions were Soni, Pooja Jain and Abhi. In category D the first three positions were secured by Shalu Gulati, Namrata Gupta and Diksha Puri.
Speaking on the occasion, Rev Sr Venita Joseph shared, "Motherhood is a blessing and a strength, and today's event wis our way of expressing grati tude to all the mothers who shape the future through love and sacrifice"
