Description: Chandigarh, April 8: Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School Sector 26's Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025-26 was held with great dignity and enthusiasm. The ceremony serves as a platform to inculcate a sense of leadership, duty and responsibility in the students as they step into roles that will guide and shape the school community. The morning began with a prayer, which prayed for a fruitful and prosperous future ahead. The blessings of the Almighty were invoked for a purposeful year. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a tradition that symbolizes the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge, marking the beginning of a new journey for the newly elected student leaders. An introduction to the occasion was presented which outlined the essence and significance of the investiture ceremony. It also highlighted the importance of student leadership in nurturing discipline, accountability and a sense of service in the school environment. The event brought back memories as the outgoing student council members expressed their gratitude while reflecting on their years of service with humility and pride. The highlight of the day was the oath taking ceremony where the newly appointed leaders took the oath of office, administered by Reverend Sister Venitha Joseph, Principal of Sacred Heart School. After the oath taking, the council members were formally inaugurated by the school manager Rev Sr. Anupa and Rev Sr. Venitha Joseph. were decorated with their respective sashes. The Council comprised of Head Girl Devishi Manhas, Assistant Head Girl Katyayani, Vice Head Girl Jiya Bharara, Sports Captain Manyata Soni Senior Wing and Head Girl Bhanavi Dembla, Vice Head Girl Nadika Bansal, Sports Captain Adiva Vasan Primary Wing, Stage Coordinators, Discipline & Bulletin Board Incharges, House Captains, each of whom were assigned specific responsibilities to maintain the ethos of the institution.
