DIGITALIZATION : THE NEED OF THE HOUR
21st century is marked by phenomenal advances in the field of technology.Electronic gadgets, Internet, artificial intelligence are
part and parcel of human life now.The digital world has slowly but steadily become a part of educational process too.
We, at Sacred Heart, believe in walking hand in hand with the world and are committed to embracing the technological changes and
also upgrading on a regular basis.
INITIATIVES
• Smart Boards - TeachNext smart boards have been installed in each classroom which enhances the teaching learning
process.
• Computer Laboratory- The students are provided with hands on experience of working on personal computers under the guidance of
competent, well qualified computer teachers.
• e-Care- The e-Care portal of our school is fully equipped with the latest software in order to cater to all the digital
requirements of the school. The varied categories of functions which fall under its purview are:
• Digital records of students
• Online fee payments
• Online assessment
• Progress report of students
• School website
• Circulars, notices
• SMS alerts
• Digital library- Comprehensive collection of online resources of ebooks which are computerized and bar coded can be accessed by
both the faculty and the students from their respective e-Care panel. It has a digital repository of more than 13,000 books.
QUANTUM LEAP IN DIGITALIZATION (Session 2020-21)
The onslaught of COVID-19 revolutionized the educational process. Overnight our teachers mastered the digital means of imparting
knowledge. The dynamic initiatives which were promptly taken in this session facilitated the teaching learning process and our
students, too, adapted to the sudden change. Few of the initiatives are enumerated below:
• Viable digital medium (google meet) for smooth conduct of Online classes
• Online staff meetings, prayer meets, assemblies, celebrations of special days
• Webinars for up gradation of teaching skills of the staff members
• ICT tools used by mentors in teaching, learning and assessment
