UT Interschool Badminton Tournament was held from 9^th Aug, 2014 to 13^th Aug, 2014 in which Sacred Heart School bagged the First Position in all the 3 categories i.e. U-14,U-17 & U-19.

Tiny Tots of our Pre-Primary participated in an Inter School Group Singing Competition conducted by Carmel Convent School, Sector-9, Chandigarh and bagged the Second Prize.

Bhavan Vidyalya Sector-27, Chandigarh organized a Model United Nations Conference from August 1^st-3^rd, 2014 where 45 schools from India, Pakistan and Canada participated. Aastha Malhotra of class X-B participated in the United Nations Convention Against corruption where she represented Malaysia. She won the ‘High Communication’ award and was awarded with a trophy and certificate of Excellence. 

533 students from classes 8, 9 & 10 participated in the TIMES NIE Think and learn challenge (School Level). Jeetika of class X A scored the maximum marks and was awarded with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 NEO.

               All India Sanskrutika Sangh, Pune organised a National level dance competition from 21^st May, 2014 to 30^th May, 2014.

Avni Bansal of the school won the Chairman Award in the classical solo category.

In the Junior Group classical category, the nrityanganas of Sacred Heart won the Chairman Award. The team comprised of

Heartians win the Scholarship for Higher Education(SHE)

The Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India awards Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) under Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) to the students who are within the top 1% at class XII examination conducted by the board during the academic session ending March/April 2014.

Following students of Sacred Heart are within the top 1% and have qualified for this prestigious scholarship for Higher Education.

56 teams from in and around Chandigarh participated in the Mount Carmel School Parliamentary Debate Competition organized by PEC on 25^th, 26^th and 27^th of July. Sacred Heart Team-I comprising of

Sharmishtha Singh (XI-C),

Aastha Malhotra (X-B) and

Anukriti Dua (XII-D)

bagged the Second position. They have been awarded with the Runners-Up Trophy, certificates and have been invited to the International Parliamentary Debate Competition to be held in PEC from 5^th to 8^th September.

Chitrakshi, a Heartian to the core, has brought laurels to her Alma Mater by securing All India Rank 36 and Chandigarh State rank 3 in AIIMS 2014. Chitrakshi who is currently studying medicine at AIIMS Delhi, passed her class XII AISSC exam with 96.2% and went on to secure Chandigarh State Rank 3 in AIPMT 2014, All India General Category Rank 6 in AIPMT 2014. All India Rank 3 in NSTSE 2014. Chitrakshi has also been awarded a Scholarship for NSEC, NSEB.

Shivani Guptasarna has displayed her commitment and perseverance throughout her school life. She not only excelled herself in academics, but also participated in co-curricular activities. She proved her brilliance once again. In Class XII AISSCE 2014, she secured 96.2% marks and secured All India Rank 67 and State Rank 1 in the CBSE-JEE Main Architecture 2014.

In the Manipal University MOET, Shivani bagged All India 471 Rank and in CBSE-AIPMT, she secured state rand 36.

Sr. Nisha, Principal of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School has been awarded a School Trophy for outstanding performance and contribution towards conducting the English Silver Zone Olympiad.

Sacred Heart has always pursued to push the Horizons of achievement. The school has been honoured by the Unified Council, A certified organization in testing and assessment, for excellent participation of students in the NSTSE-2014. School was presented with a memento on the Annual Awards celebration-2014 held at Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad.

Shirin Godara of class X won the Second Position in NCC Inter Group Shooting Competition 2014 held at Ropar where she competed with girls from Chandigarh,Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh in Junior Girls category. Shirin will now represent NCC Chandigarh Directorate in National Shooting Competition at Ropar from 14th-23rd July,2014.
