Times Of India, in association with Pioneer Education, conducted its second round of ‘ASPIRE-IQ Screening’ for Tricity Schools on  31^st July  and winners in different categories from different classes were felicitated.

1. Elakshi Bhan of VIII-A secured first position(Class 8^th Category) and was awarded with a Tab and Gold Medal.

2. Nandika Soni of VIII-A secured  second position (Class 8^th Category) and was awarded with Silver Medal.

3. Nehal of IX-A secured first  position(Class 9^th and 10^th Category) and was awarded with a Tab and Gold Medal.

Heena Kang of VIII-C participated in a Golf Tournament held  at PGC.  She bagged the first prize and was awarded with a trophy and gold medal.

An MUN training session was organized by Bhavan Vidyalaya school, Chandigarh where  15 schools of the tricity participated.  Kashish Kaushal  of class IX C and Harshita of Class X B received a ‘Special Mention’.

International Equanimity Olympiad was held on 25^th July for Classes IX and X. Harshita of X-C secured the first rank in this Olympiad and has been awarded with a gold medal and a certificate. Nandini Gera and Hasrat Kaur Bajwa secured the consolation prizes. Sr. Nisha, the principal of the school also got a certificate for her kind support. 

A Parliamentary Debate Competition was held at Mount Carmel School from 21^st-23^rd July where over 60 teams participated. Our School’s team comprising of Roveena, Mishika & Ishita of Class-X bagged the second runners up award.  Also, Niharika Yadav of class XII C bagged the first position for the same.

An I.Q. Screening Test(Round 1) was conducted by ‘The Times of India’ on 16/07/16 for the students of classes VIII, IX and X. Nandika Soni (VIII-A), Navya Jain (VIII C),  Akarshi Roy (VIII C),  Prerna (VIII D),  Nehal (IX-A) and Divya Sharma (X-C)  were felicitated for their outstanding performance in the respective classes.

Lakhmehar of Class XI B participated in a Golf Tournament held at Panchkula Golf Club on 17^th July, 2016 organised  by ALLWIN championship tours. She secured the first position in Category A. She also won a tournament held at Panchkula Golf Club organized by Ace Juniors Championship. In the Allwin Championship tours  held on 15^th june  2016 at PGC, she won the first prize. In another tournament organized by ACE Juniors Championship that included 9 holes & 9 exercises, she secured the first position. She was ranked 8^th all over India by the Indian Golf Union  Main Tour held at the Army Golf Club- Delhi in the month of June 2016 in category-A. Congratulations Lakhmehar!

Sannati of class XI-A participated in Classmate Handwriting Olympiad conducted in the academic year 2015-16 and was declared State Runner-up from category ‘A’. She was awarded with a certificate and a gift hamper.

Aramya Jaiswal of class IX-A won second prize in an inter-school Hindi Declamation competition. She was awarded with a certificate and Rs. 1000.

The PEC debating society in collaboration with Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organized a Parliamentary Debating Competition. Team comprising of Zinnia Girdhar of class XI-B and Ashima Sharma of class XII-C stood first and were awarded with a trophy and certificate. Niharika Yadav of XII-C was adjudged the Best Speaker of the competition.

HEENA KANG of class VIII-C participated in the Ace Junior Golf Skill Challenge and secured the first position. In the North Zone IGU ATS Champions Junior Golf Challenge, she secured second position. In North Zone IGU CGC Junior Golf Challenge held at Chandigarh Golf Club Heena secured the first position. In the Little Masters Junior Golf Tour held at Panchkula Golf Club she secured the first positon. She was awarded with a trophy for 'NEAREST TO THE PIN'. In the Allwin Junior Golf Tour held at Panchkula Golf Club, Heena secured the first position and in the North Zone IGU Champions Summer Golf Challenge, she secured the first position. We congratulate our ace golfer! 

The annual Training Camp 2016 by National Cadet Corps(NCC) was held at Government College for Girls sector 42 Chandigarh from 15^th June to 24^th June 2016.

In the Debate Competition, Pragatti Oberoi of XII-C won the first prize. She was awarded a gold medal  and Palak Nangru of XII-C won the second prize and was awarded a silver medal.

In the Cultural program, Urvashi Sachdeva of Class X-A won a gold medal in contemporary dance and Hiya Chakravarty of Class X-d won a silver medal for Kathak dance.

Pragatti Oberoi of XII-C got a special mention for best anchoring and conducting all the NCC shows during the camp. She was awarded with a certificate.
