Dainik Bhaskar organized a Junior editor-II contest in academic year 2015-16 in which Devanshi Arora of class 6^th and Kriti Bagri of class 10^th won LYF Mobiles and certificates. Sanvi Verma of class 6^th won a certificate and hamper comprising of Tiffin, Pen and Sipper.

Mansehaj Sandhu, Shambhavi Saroj and Anukriti Bhardwaj of class XII-B participated in the Coalesce Science Quiz held at St. John’s High School on 14^th Oct, 2016 and there they bagged the second prize. They were awarded with trophies and certificates.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organized a Mock MUN on 7^th and 8^th Oct, 2016 where 44 girls from our school participated. Sangeeta Cheema of 9-B won the ‘Best Delegate’ award and Anahat of 9-A won a ‘Special Mention’ award.

Guncha Ashri of Class VIII A participated in under 14 category in the UT Interschool Tournaments organised by the UT Administration, Chandigarh.  She bagged two gold and one silver medal in 20 metre, 30 metre and overall categories.  It was held at Lake Sports Complex from 3^rd to 6^th October, 2016.  

Mahima Bajaj of X-C participated in the “Orator” Press conference competition held on 3 October 2016 at St. Xaviers Sr. Sec. School, Sec 44-C, Chandigarh and won the third prize. She was awarded with a certificate and a trophy.

All India Taekwondo Cup tournament-2016 was held at skating rink Sec-10 on 1 October 2016 where Mahima Bajaj of Class X-C participated and won a silver medal in U-55Kg category. Khyati Munjal of VIII-B also participated in the same event and won a gold medal in fighting U-35Kg category.

The efforts of the teachers were acknowledged by the Dainik Bhaskar Team and the officials from the Hindi Daily honoured Sr. Nisha, the principal of the school, Mrs. Tejinder Sondhi (Retd.),  coordinator and Ms. Anju Mehta (Faculty Member). They were felicitated in an award ceremony held at Dainik Bhaskar office.

Nandini of Class 9-C participated in a swimming competition held at Sector 23 swimming pool where she won a bronze medal and a cash prize of Rs.800.

Tanisha of Class 8-B participated in Aakash National Talent Hunt Examination and bagged the 69^th National rank. She was awarded with a cash prize of Rs.4000. Harshita of Class 10-C also participated in the same and bagged 117^th National rank. She was awarded with the cash prize of Rs.2000.

11^th Sport Table Tennis Tournament was held at Tender Heart School from 29^th to 31^st August where our school team comprising of Chinamya  of 9-D, Devashree of 9-B, Vasundhara of 8-C and Khyati of 9-D secured the first position. They have been selected to represent Chandigarh at National level in the 11^th Sport Table Tennis National to be held at Jaipur from 9^th to 11^th December.

Heena Kang of Class 8-C participated in ‘Race to Spain’ Little Master Junior Golf Tour held at Forest Hill Golf and Country Club on 27^th and 28^th August and secured the first position. She also got a trophy for the maximum birdies and an eagle.

Chandigarh Administration organised a series of competitions under Smart City initiative in the session 2015-16. In the essay writing competition, Sirisha Mehtani of Class IX-B got the consolation prize and was given a cheque of Rs. 500. In drawing competition, Kanika of Class IX-A and Raizel of Class VIII-C got the consolation prize and were given a cheque of Rs. 500 each.
