In Under-15 State Level Table Tennis Tournament held at Table Tennis Hall, Sector 23, Chandigarh. The team of following girls bagged the First Position and they were awarded with a trophy, gold medal and merit certificate :-

Vasundhara of VIII C participated in Under-14 individual CBSE Table Tennis Tournament and secured second position. She was awarded with runners up Trophy, Silver Medal and Merit Certificate. Chinmayee of IX D participated in Under-17 individual CBSE Table Tennis Tournament and secured third position. She was awarded with second runners up Trophy and Merit Certificate.

Tanmaya Kohli of VII C won the first position in Kathak Competition organised by Prachin Kala Kendra.

Winners of NSO Science (SOF)  in the session 2016-17 were felicitated on the Republic Day.  They were awarded with Zonal Excellence Gold Medal awards for their outstanding performance in the first level.

Vasundhara of VIII C & Chinmayee of IX D participated in Under-15 Doubles Category and bagged first position. They were awarded with gold medal, trophy and  merit certificate. They also participated in individual under-15 category and bagged the third position.

A Drawing Competition was organised by Ministry of Water Resources on topic ‘Save Water & Save Earth’. Anna of VII C won a bag and a cash prize of Rs 2500. Raizel of VII C participated in the same event and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1200 and a kit comprising of bag, colours, paint brushes, t-shirt and a cap.

Vivek High School organized the VHS MUN 2016 from 18-21^st November where delegates from Bangladesh, Australia, Germany and India participated. Our school girls won awards in the same :-

1.      Mishika Bedi of X-B represented Pakistan and won a special mention.

2.     Kanika Goswamy of X-B represented Kenya and won a special mention.

3.     Nandini of IX-C represented Sonia Gandhi and won an honourable mention.

4.     Aramya of IX-A represented Mayawati in AIPPM(All India Political Parties Meet) and won an honourable mention.

5.     Bula Kalra of IX-D bagged a verbal mention.

6.     Tanya Syngle of XI-C also won a verbal mention.

Heartians came out with flying colours in the UIEO English Olympiad by Unified Council held on 17^th November 2016.  The following students were felicitated for their outstanding performance. Radhika and Akshi of class of X-B participated in ‘Paint The Thoughts’ Event of VISITAVITY-2016 held at St. John’s High School, Chandigarh where they won the first Runners Up trophy. They also participated in Brochure Designing Competition held at the same School and won the second prize.

Saumya Seth and Sanya Seth of Class IX-A participated in Bal Kala Utsav, A National festival of Children for Dance, Drama, Music and Arts organized in Delhi on 15 & 16 November where they bagged the second prize in Semi-classical/Bollywood dance duet category, third prize in classical dance duet category. They also participated in the drawing competition organized in the same event where Saumya Seth won the second prize and Sanya Seth bagged the third prize. They have also got a gift voucher of Rs. 500 each for their commendable performance in the event.

Tanishka Sareen of Class IV B brought laurels to the school by winning Gold Medal in the 10 meter event in the ninth Cherukuri Lenin Volga Memorial, NATIONAL ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP. She also lifted the Overall rank one Trophy with the highest score of 316 points by beating 57 girls from different states who participated in the tournament held at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh on 14^th November, 2016. Her winning spree continued as she won Gold Medal in the 10 meter Indian round by securing 164 points and accumulated 152 points in the 15 meter event. We are proud of you Tanishka!!!
